Given a non-commodity culture, those with carnivore pride would probably take to hunting.

Personally, I am sick of talking. I am sick of treating the life and death of animals as a political talking point. “I’m a vegan” vs. “I eat meat” – a discussion at the dinner table – and then everyone leaves on proper terms. Talk is cheap. These animals need our immediate presence and help. I wouldn’t sit at a table with a Nazi in the 30′s – 40′s and discuss our differing positions concerning the Jews… as if we were discussing political opinions.

If you choose to eat meat, then you have put it out there that might is what makes right for you… that this is your moral / value system.

I can operate within that sphere. That’s fine.

How can we possibly live on a vegan planet?? Rates of heart disease, cancer and diabetes will plummet! The air will be cleaner! Millions of acres of grazing land will be turned into farmland for grains and vegetables and hunger will be eradicated! Children will grow up with exponentially less disease like obesity, asthma, autism and ADHD! Say it isn’t so!
