Joshua, I must tell you that there is an advertisement for Weight Watchers on your page that says “Eat like a man. Not like a rabbit” with a picture of steak. I’m sure you don’t want something disgusting like this on your site so I thought I would let you know.

I’m proud to say I eat and fuck like a rabbit! In today’s “manly” culture its all the rage to drive big trucks, watch football or lately MMA, and stuff your face at any restaurant that has half naked servers with thousands of chicken wings and beer to the point where your resembling that fat dude from Monty Pythons Meaning of Life! I’m unfortunately incapable of being such a manly specimen. For example I much rather paint my girlfriends nails then hang wit the bros at a sausage fest bar watching sports. I drive a normal car, and dont wear anything with a tribal design, and prefer eating a nice helping of scrambled tofu w/ spinach then woofing down a virile, sexy, slab of steak. And if being healthy, morally conscience, and concerned about my and an animals well being makes me one of those queerosexuals hippies, then by all means I’ll keep being my feminine self!

Is historical context really enough to prevent us from doing the right thing now? Sure our ancestors ate meat, sometimes even each other and often perpetuated bizarre (to us) customs by tradition and often even necessity. Sure ig amounts of dead animal flesh are often considered a sign of virility and success (watch half the food shows on television) but arent we as a species smarter than to equate animal flesh on a plate as a presuppostion of a mans competence as a hunter? Welcome to 2010 and factory farming, as I tell my transitioning clients there are a hundred reasons to be vegan and not one not to.
